From Sep. to Dec. 2018 and from June 2018 to May 2019, I wrote weekly 16-inch columns on topics relevant to students and student life. When I first began as a columnist, my focus was primarily on entertainment, LGBTQ issues and social justice. During the Spring 2019 semester, I wrote an internet and pop culture column.

All of my writings for the Minnesota Daily can be accessed here.

Highlights include:
  • Get yourself a group chat
  • BuzzFeed's Community is gross exploitation of content creators
  • I rode exclusively electric scooters for a week. Here's what I learned
    • As part of this column, I documented my scooter trips on my Instagram story and Twitter. Here's a full thread of the resulting videos of my experience.
  • Transphobia on painted bridge panel mocks real social issues
    • Contextual note: the University of Minnesota has a tradition of allowing student groups to paint advertisements on the panels of a campus bridge. The event takes place once a year and has been the site of regular political controversy.
  • "Areas one and three" is the local creepypasta we deserve
  • We have no choice but to embrace surreal internet humor
  • Stop talking around female sexuality
