From June to Aug. 2017, I worked as an entertainment media intern at GLAAD. I assisted in monitoring LGBTQ characters and storylines on TV series like Kingdom and The Night Shift, wrote weekly queer entertainment news summaries, conducted research for GLAAD's Where We Are On TV 17-18 report and wrote two op-eds in the final stages of my internship. Following my internship, I signed on as a GLAAD campus ambassador. During the spring 2019 semester I worked as a Lead Junior Editor for GLAAD's youth content platform, amp, where I handled edits on student writing, crafted editorial campaigns tied to the GLAAD Media Awards and Pride, and managed a five-member editorial team. I also attended the 2019 GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, where I fielded social media engagements throughout the duration of the event.
