I'm Palmer Haasch, an entertainment & culture journalist specializing in internet & teen culture, anime, and television.
In the past, I've worked as an entertainment writer at Thrillist, an editorial intern at Vox Media's Polygon, a Lead Junior Editor and entertainment media intern at GLAAD, and a columnist at The Minnesota Daily. I'm well-trained in sourcing out quick news hits in the world of entertainment, and have a track record writing up snappy reports on topics like Real Person Fanfiction in HBO's Euphoria and Lil Nas X's legendary Billboard chart run.
Education-wise, I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities with a B.A. in English and French Studies (I speak fluent French) and a minor in Political Science. During my senior year, I conducted original research on the significance of Real Person Fanfiction in K-pop fan communities and received the Mark David Clawson Thesis Prize in English.
